Why we’re Green:
Studies have shown that using a commercial carwash is much easier on the environment than driveway or parking lot washes.  Detergents and surface residue from driveway or parking lot car washes generally runs directly into the nearest storm drain. Most storm drains are designed to carry excess rainwater into nearby waterways without any additional cleaning of that water. Storm water run off is the most common source of pollution of streams, rivers, lakes, oceans and inlets, and can have a devastating effect on aquatic life.  Commercial carwashes, like Green Clean, capture runoff and either reuse it or direct it to the city’s water treatment plants.  Additionally, home car washing accounts for the second largest demand for peak summer water use after lawn watering. By using high pressure pumps that are trigger controlled, professional car washes typically use up 80% less water than home washing.  Finally, Green Clean uses products that are non-toxic, friendly to the ozone layer and free from aromatic solvents and other harmful substances.  Using these solutions enables us to better protect the environment by using products and programs that are more environmentally conscious.
